LEWIN STREET
KITCHEN
Bardon, Brisbane
2014
We were invited to design this kitchen and a bathroom as a part of the renovation and extension of a beautiful heritage listed worker's cottage in the inner west of Brisbane. Just before completion we also learned we had helped our clients feather their nest for an exciting new arrival, their first!
To ensure the kitchen would be low emission, environmentally responsible, robust and long lasting it was made from Chain of Custody Certified plywoods, including the carcasses, with concrete benchtops, all finished with low emission sealants.
The design for the kitchen was inspired by the client's vintage stools and lighting, handed down to them by grandparents who recieved them as wedding gifts fifty years ago.
What a lovely story to write into the new kitchen!
We have since heard that little Reggie, the new arrival, loves the kitchen, so it seems we got the stamp of approval! Thank you A and A for being so much fun to work with!
